The Problem
Small pet sitting businesses need a way to spend less time on administrative tasks of their business.
Persona Creation
A Persona was created in order to better understand a typical customer and their painpoints.
Competitive Analysis
Research on compeitors was performed to understand where this new product might fit into the market and where a niche might be found.
The Solutions
Create a Design System
The first step was to create a design system with which to create the designs for the mobile application.
Dashboard Creation
Give the adminstrator a list of their appointments for the day so they can see what they need as soon as they open the app. The day at a glance also shows the total number of appointments and payments for the day so they can keep track of progress.
Appointment Scheduler
Give the pet sitter a way to see all of their appointments, their staff’s appointments, details of that appointment and a way to create a new appointment while out visiting their clients.
In-App Messaging & Notifications
Allow the adminstrator to directly communicate with clients and staff within the app. Give the administrator notifications to keep them up to date on things like appointments, payment and staffing.
Payment Management
Give administrator a way to see payment status and send invoices in real-time.
